Chatakpur View Point

Chatakpur is a small eco-friendly village with only 19 families, and the neighboring village is at least 7 or 8 kilometers distant. The community is encircled on all sides by the Sinchal Wildlife Sanctuary’s dense trees. This is a forest settlement close to Darjeeling. The settlement is located on a hillside facing north. The motorable road stops at the bottom half of the settlement. This location has an elevation of roughly 7,500 feet. You must take the steps from here to walk uphill. The community is spread out over a broad region, and the higher you go, the better the view of the Kanchenjunga range.

Chatakpur forest village is not far from Darjeeling city. It is around 25 kilometers from Darjeeling town, although it may take up to two hours to get there. The reason for this is because you have to drive through a deep forest in the Senchal area for about 10 kilometers to get here.
